The Bass Studio is a comprehensive Double Bass education program designed and directed by Andy Moritz. Studio members receive a solid grounding in bass playing fundamentals and study the methods of George Vance, Francois Rabbath, Simandl, Bille, and Petracchi.

Students participate in private lessons, master classes, studio recitals, and youth orchestras along with their school orchestra programs to develop their skills, techniques, and musicianship.

Studio members regularly excel in activities and competitions such as All-Region and All-State Orchestras, and District and All-State Solo & Ensemble contests.

NINJA!
First established in 2002, the Ninja Squad is a select group of All-State competitive bass players within The Bass Studio who receive specialized, in-depth master classes and coaching. More than half of Ninja Squad participants are chosen for the Texas All-State organizations.
